Communications Support Unit (CS-131)

This ICS Type 1 Mobile Communications Unit is staffed and operated by the District's Communication Volunteers to assist the District with its emergency communication system infrastructure. The unit is equipped with four dispatch positions, a technology area, a small conference room for planning and operations, a restroom, and a small kitchenette.

CS131 is equipped with numerous HF, VHF, UHF, Marine, Aviation, and P-25 EBRCS 700/800 MHz trunked radios.

Additional technologies include Direct TV, cell phone systems, and satellite data equipment.  CS131 has been deployed recently to support Super Bowl 50, wildland fires such as the North Bay (Tubbs and Central Complex) fires, Loma Fire, mutual aid request for various incidents, and public service events.
