The NorCal QRP Club is once again pleased to sponsor the QRP events at Pacificon. Every year over 200 Qrpers attend Pacificon and take part in many formal and informal events. This year, the club has a full slate of activities planned (see below).

The first event will be the no host dinner held at a local restaurant on Friday night. This year we will be joined by the HF Pack group, to make our event even bigger and better than last year. To participate in the dinner meet in the hotel lobby at 6:00 pm .

After dinner, we will adjourn to the QRP Hospitality room in the hotel for a fun filled building contest and a QRP vendor night. All QRP vendors are welcome.

Saturday is our big day. The event will start with coffee and pastry at 9:00 am. We have the finest lineup of speakers that we have ever had. This year, we have Jim Kortge, Joe Porter and Gene Sailsbury, a special talk on the Paraset by Lee Hutchins, KA6IRL, and 2 other speakers to be named. Saturday night will feature our annual QRP gear auction, which is a consignment auction of QRP gear and accessories, building contest, and QRP music.

Everyone with an interest in QRP is invited to attend, as all are welcome. There is no additional charge for the QRP activities but you will need to have a Pacificon General Admission ticket to participate in activities at the hotel. See Buy Tickets Page.

QRP Things to do at night
while you are at Pacificon

Friday night:

6:00 pm: No Host QRP Banquet arranged by Dr. Megacycle KK6MC/5. Meet in lobby of hotel at 6:00 PM

7:30 pm: Vendor Night Opens. All QRP equipment vendors + sellers of used Qrp Gear and accessories. Tables available first come first served.

8:30 pm : QRPacificon Building Contest. Teams will be buiding NorCal Keyers.

10:00 pm: QRP Music

Saturday night:

7:30 - 8:00 pm: Auction Item Viewing

8:00 - 9:00 pm: QRP Item Auction. Bring your qrp items to sell. Kits, Parts, etc. anything to do with qrp.

9:00 pm: Show and Tell Judging. Bring a project that you have built since last year to share with the rest of us.

10:00 pm: QRP Music

** Remember, all activities at night take place in Salon G & H.
